SKOW Coin Purse Finished....

Firstly I would like to thank everybody that left a comment

 on my previous post about the lining fabric......

 I still couldn't decide so I asked Miss Molly to

 choose and she went with the whimsical print....

 I added a little zipper pull that I made from some

 ribbon and a couple of buttons.....

I also changed the last line to make it more

 my own as I don't drink coffee.......

Too Cute!!!!! Love it!!!!!

Stone Floss

I have been waiting on the Stone Floss to start the stitchery panel

 for my new pincushion from "Some Kind of Wonderful....

Well the wait is over and the panel is stitched....

I really need to spend some time with my sewing machine

 and get some projects finished off....

Started the Borders.....

Last night while I was waiting on a couple of loads of washing

 I got busy joining my white border fabric for my Hexagon quilt....

 Then after some smoothing and pinning.....

 And more smoothing and pinning.....

 I took the papers out of the top edge and pinned

it all down with my tiny applique pins......

All ready to start stitching down.....

I don't know why but I am feeling a bit nervous about doing it....

Coin Purse Stitching Done...

Well the school holidays are over and it is my

 first day back at work today.....

I am not looking forward to it at all....

In the holidays I managed to finish the stitching for my

Coin Purse from "Some Kind of Wonderful"....

 Not sure which of these fabrics I will use for the lining.....

It is such a major decision of course....*Grin*

A Birthday, A New Blogger & Cupcakes...

Firstly I would like to say Happy Birthday to my Bestie Suze....

Wish I could be there to celebrate with you....

Hexagons all Together!

I have stitched the final row onto my Hexagon quilt....

 Yeww!!!! It is getting there....

I have 4 white Hexi's left to embroider and then

 I can start on the white borders.....

"The Teahouse" A bit of Colouring & Stitching....

I always knew quilters were Artists that work in fabric.....

The shading detail on this block looks awesome.....

It brings out the colours and just makes it pop....

 

 

And then for some more stitching, stitching, stitching......

 I decided to stitch the teahouse sign as I am going to avoid using

 the buttons that Bronwyn used on the original block......

Can you believe it?

"The Teahouse" - A WIP

I reduced the size of my "Apple Pies"sign as much as I could....

The fence posts seem to be smaller than the original block......

This block has lots of stitching and is officially
my new favourite at the moment....

Don't you just love how blocks of the month do that to us....

A new favourite block each month even if it is only for a while....

I think I will have to cut it down a bit as it is a bit big.....
