I had a bit of trouble trying to trace the stitchery design for this
with my light box because the linen was a bit thick.....
So it was off to Marally Craft for me to get some transfer paper...
It worked a treat and I am now ready to stitch
when the thread comes in at The Home Patch....
Until next time, Happy Stitching
Kate
What a stunning pincushion. Where did you get the pattern from? I would love to make it.
ReplyDeleteCheers Tanya
Will look great :) Happy Stitching!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about this transfer paper...how does it work? Sounds pretty good to me as I have had that problem!!!
ReplyDeleteI now have the book...it is great seeing the projects appearing..I was wondering about the transfer paper too-
ReplyDeleteYeh me too Kate . . . Do tell us about the transfer paper, I love this pin cushion too . . It s on the must do list
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem, so ended up doing the pincushion on a tea-dyed background. I have used a slightly lighter linen for the coin purse and it has been much easier. The pincushion is a sweet little project.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of transfer paper was it as I have tried a few things on Annie's dark linen! Lighter linen works better!
ReplyDeleteI think this pin cushion is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI have the book too and I am looking foreward to working on some of the patterns.
cant wait to see this pin cushion Kate
ReplyDeleteoften wondered how that worked, your pin cushion will look great
ReplyDeleteHi Kate, I must confess to avoiding darker linen for stitching because of tracing the design, so I'd love to know about the transfer paper.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the finished pincushion. The book is filled with lots of "must do that" projects, isn't it?
Regards, Sue
