SKOW Weekend

I am so far behind with SKOW......
I am thankfull that I do not live too close to Chooky because
if she got that whip out I wouldn't be able
to sit and stitch when she was finished with me....Sorry Chooky!
My biggest problem was deciding on the applique method....
As you can see I have now decided
and have managed to get some stitches in.....
Still slow going though so hopefully
I will get some done this weekend....
Jacky Mister has a Cricket Grand Final this morning
and Rep Basketball in Bathurst this afternoon and
tomorrow morning so it is perfect time for me
to get some sideline stitching done....
It is all in the organisation Girls!!!!!
Have a great weekend....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

I'm Back!!!!!

There's nothing like a good swap to get your blogging Mojo back.....
My online sewing group are having an Easter swap and this is
a sneak peak of what I have sent to a secret recipient....
I will reveal all when  it has been delivered....
And this is what I am up to today....
A little DIY project....
I am giving this old girl a bit of an over haul....
I will show you what I am doing with
 this old wardrobe next week.....
This is the door that will go back on
after I replace the floor and the roof....
Don't panic there will be no power tools involved.....
Ha Ha Ha!
The man at Bunnings cut the shelves for me
and I am going to have fun with my hammer....
Wish me luck!!!!!
It is so good to be back....
I have missed you all terribly.....
I may not be here every day but I will be here....

Busy Day

After a very busy afternoon with my ruler and
rotary cutter I am pleased to say I have cut all the
strips for the borders and the columns.....

Background blocks for the whole quilt labeled and ready....
Lots of coloured squares for the pieced blocks and columns....
Lots more cream print squares for the pieced blocks and columns....
And fabric for piecing on the sewing block.....
It doesn't look like much but it was very time consuming.....
I thought if I prepared all the blocks first when I start
stitching I should hopefully catch up in no time.....
Ha ha We'll See!!!!
Until next time, Happy Stitching

Almost there.....The windows look really good.....
I am pleased with how it is turning out.....
I still have a bit of stitching left to finish off the topiary trees.....
And then it will be on to the next block....Yay!!!

My Town Hall Progress

Wow the 3rd of January......
The festive Season seems a blurr already.....
The time is flying by way too fast for my liking.....
Well in true holiday spirit I sat out on my back deck
yesterday and stitched the best part of the day away.....
It felt good to be doing some stitching again.....
I was working on my Town Hall block
for the My Town Mystery Quilt....
I have finished all of the button hole applique.....
And have transferred the windows etc ready for stitching.....
This is the part I really enjoy....Adding the detail....
This one has two topiary trees that are
made from grub roses and lazy daisies....
They should look cute.....
I hope to get a bit more stitched today......
Until next time, Happy Stitching
