Last night I finished my neck warmer
that I started knitting last year.....
You may have read about it HERE ....
The cable pattern looks great in this colour and
I love how it is really warm without the bulk....
The pattern had 2 buttons but I chose to use 3 for mine....
This is the wool that I used....
It is so soft and snuggly....
Perfect for frosty days like today.....
This was the view from my back deck
that I woke to this morning.......
Foggy and frosty....Brrrrrr!
Until next time, Happy stitching

My Quilt Show Purchases-Part 3

It is time to reveal just what was in that big red bag!
I was going to do it over a couple of posts but changed my mind...
So here it all is...Oh Dear....
Dresden rulers, Sue Daley rotating cutting mat and a small cutter....
Some Japanese Fat quarters from "Studio Moi" they come on
these cute cards that can be reused later....Great marketing!!!!
A pattern and a couple of kits from Marg Lowe's stall....
I met Natalie Bird and also purchased a copy
of her new book "Red Home"
Natalie kindly signed it for me....
I also just had to have a couple of kits to make two of the
projects, the pin cushion and the mini doll quilt.....
Vintage Modern jelly roll by Riley and Blake....
With a pattern and kit to make this quilt.....
I love how they have incorporated the Dresdens.....
This fabric is really nice....
A pattern to make a skirt from this
corduroy fabric that I had at home....
Wow it has been a long time since I sewed clothing....
A must have necklace that Cardy and Chooky showed us....
I think they might have been on commission....
This little pack is so cute.....they are 2 inches square....
I have a hexagon star project that I would like to use these in...
Deb thought these were cute so I got her a pack as
well to say thanks for driving me to Sydney....
Zip and clip just because they were cute.....*Grin*
And last but not least some kits from Anni at Hatched and Patched....
I think I might be a kit addict!!!!!
So lots of things here for me to play with.....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

I since found out that she knows my Husband and his family...
The lovely Anita I have met before at a Bloggers

Craft and Quilt Show Road Trip-Part 1

I set off from Orange at 5am on Friday morning to meet up
with my travelling buddies for the day in Lithgow,
so we could continue on our journey to Sydney....
I spent a lovely day with Deb and Susan.....
Here we are out the front of Anni's stall at the Fair....
I was a Craft and Quilt show virgin so imagine
my delight when I saw all of this......
And these!!!!!!
Here I am with Sue Daley.....
I was very excited to meet Sue as I wanted to go to
"Girls Day in the Country" in May but a family wedding
prevented me from going and meeting her....
I enjoyed a bit of retail therapy with Sandy....
Oops! Back at Anni's stall again....
The quilts were amazing and I wish I could
show you them all but there were just so many....
So here are just a few...
I even found one that Bart would have liked....
Can you see all the horses quilted around the edge....
Just amazing....
4pm and time to rest those weary legs and have a cuppa
and something sweet with the sweet Chookyblue....
The girls and I in the car park wondering how we are
going to fit my shopping bag in the car....Ha ha!
Selfies in the car on the way home....
We said our goodbyes in Lithgow and
I set off on the rest of my journey....
10pm saw me park my car in the garage at home and
head inside for a cuppa and well earned sleep....
Stay tuned to see my posts about the
"Bloggers Meet Up"and "My Purchases"
Until next time, Happy Stitching
