Trying to get motivated

Hi there Blog land, I just wanted to let you all know that I am still here and in search of my Mojo.
I just haven't been able to get it together in the sewing/Blogging department lately. I have had some lovely emails/messages from people wondering where I have been and if I am OK. I am OK and really appreciate that you are all looking out for me.......
I have pulled these flannel fabrics out of the bag and started to motivate myself for hopefully a quick finish to get me back on a roll. We will see how I go. I think this will be a nice Autumn snuggle quilt once it is finished. Simple strip piecing because the fabric will be the hero in this one.......
Speaking of Autumn, where did it go?
I am heading outside after I post this to rake up a tonne of gorgeous Autumn leaves.
Take care all of my gorgeous Blog friends.....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

Keep Calm and......

This lot arrived for me from my friernd Sandy Norman....
The keep calm fabric is really cute and I have tried to use it as
my motto while I am waiting on my house to settle....
WARNING!
Do not buy a house that is having the block sub divided!!!!!
On the upside I hope to move in the weekend after next....
Would rather it be mine when I moved in though....
I can't help but smile when I look at this cute thread keeper...
Sweet detail on this ribbon....
I wish it would inspire me to sew....
All in time I guess, you can't rush these things....
A big thanks to the lovely Sandy for thinking of me...
Until next time, Happy Stitching

I traced the stitchery last night for the
Tote Bag from Red Home by Natalie Bird.....
Just a little bit done but it felt nice to be stitching....
It is our February project for Stitch-a-long.....

Back to work tomorrow so February will
be full on, at least I have made a start....
Better go as I am meeting up with someone special today

Puzzled

I am a bit puzzled as to where my Mojo has been hiding....
I have just spent the last 5 weeks on holidays and have only
sewn the thread catcher for the January Stitch-a-long.....
I did manage to do this cute jig saw puzzle that was a bit of fun....
I hope to get back to my old self soon :)
Until next time, Happy Stitching

"Another Birthday and Surprises in the Mail"

It was my Birthday on the 24th and I must admit
I really didn't feel too much like celebrating,,,,
You see my new little Home is still in the process of settlement
due to the subdivision of the block and
quite frankly I am feeling over it!!!!
So imagine my surprise when 5 nice little
envelopes turned up in my mail box this week....
They were some very unexpected Birthday Gifts
from some really sweet ladies that I have
the pleasure of calling my friends......
All containing gorgeous French General fabrics
and a lovely matching plain for some stitchery....
I am not sure if it was planned between my
birthday Angels or if they all just think alike.....
Thankyou so much Fiona, Sylvia, Trish, Susan and Anita....
You really put a big smile into my day....
I am not sure what I will be making with these yet but am
hoping they inspire me to get some stitching done soon....
Random acts of kindness truly are special and all I have to say is
"When you least expect it, Expect it Girls" xxxxx

Until next time, Happy Stitching

First Finish 2013 Stitch-a-long....

My first finish for the 2013 Stitch-a-long is a
thread catcher basket for the book "Red Home"
Was very quick to make once I got myself motivated.....
I used some fabric that I won as a lucky
door prize at a retreat in Nowra in 2011.....
So that's half of January finished.....
Now to start on the shoe bag from "SKOW"
