I thought I best do a blog post as I have been a bit missing in action of late. Lots of cooking in the "Pickled on Peisley" kitchen and working full time have taken up a lot of my time over the last couple of weeks. I also had a nice weekend is Sydney with a good friend of mine so no time for anything!!!!!!
However I did make time to pop up to Bunnings at lunch time to pick up some wall and ceiling insulation for my Studio. Who needs airbags when you have this much padding in the vehicle. 2 rolls in the boot, 3 in the back seat and 1 in the passenger seat....ha ha! I have been getting my supplies ready for my builder who will start lining my Studio on the 17th of September. I can't wait to see some more progress out there.
I chose a colonial architrave for around the door and windows
and a matching wider board for the skirtings.
All pre primed to save on painting later.
I also have my wall lining boards ready to go and they are also pre primed so when they are all up I will be able to paint without using too much undercoat. The wall sheeting will give a look of timber boards when they are done and we will be running them vertically. I think they will look awesome. The ceiling will be plain plasterboard and in the shape of a barn roof.
I now have to wait patiently(BA HA HA) for 3 weeks. I will then be on school holidays so can't wait to be able to spend my holidays painting, fitting out the power points and lights and split system and working on my cutting bench and corner machine work station.....Sound busy doesn't it?
Just how I like it....Thank goodness....
These will be the last pics you see like this, the next lot will show the interior transformation taking place....
Did I tell you I am excited!!!!
Until next time, Happy Stitching
Kate

I'm getting really excited for you (and just a teeny bit envious). It's gonna be great.
every little bit of progress helps, Kate! it's going to be amazing...
I'm so excited for you. The 17th will be here before you know it.
You are making progress. It will be nice a cosy in the little sewing room of yours when you are done. Are you planning some heating? What sort?
Sounding more wonderful each time we hear about it!
