I haven't been doing a lot of stitching lately because
in the holidays the kids and I moved house.....
The sewing room is half unpacked and I decided to do
some work on my "Town Hall" block the other night....
I only have to stitch the stems which I now have
and do the grub rose and lazy daisy topiary trees....
I had been a little stuck on this because bullion
stitch is not something I have done a lot of....
So after a bit of research on good old google....
I found these instructions....
Then it was now or never and I started my first rose.....
Ta Dah! Amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it....
Still looking a little dull waiting on some greenery....
I had best go as Alison and I are off to Carinda this morning
for a sewing day out on Saturday with some Carinda ladies.....
Have a great weekend....
Until next time, Happy Stitching
Kate

I've not done a bullion stitch before... you've found some very clear direction!

Hi Kate, what a gorgeous new home... and good on you working out the bullion stitch, the block is looking wonderful. Seeing the blanket stitch reminds me that recently I had to go 'google' a tutorial on how to do it because I'd forgotten how to... thank goodness for Google!
Looks fabulous Kate xxx
