2nd Bloggers Meet in Bathurst

On Saturday by bestie Suze and I headed off to Bathurst for
our second annual Bloggers meet at "The Home Patch"
These pics show some of the 13 Bloggers that attended....
In true Kate and Suze style we arrived a bit later than the
10am meeting time as we got side tracked at a
garage sale and a few shops on the way.....He he!
So many things to look at....
 Deb, Myself and Sandy.....
The girls shopping up a storm.....
Anita, Fiona, Lea, Janice and Chooky.....

Suze and I....What do you have in that bag girlfriend????

Lea, Chooky, Sandy, Yours truly and Anita.....

Suze making some serious purchases and
Sandy and Deb waiting for their turn....

This is the only fabric that I purchased....
I was a good girl as I have to save my $ for my new house...
I will show you what I plan to do with this linen another time..

Then it was off to Chai Wallah for lunch......
Suze's Mushroom Bruschetta....yummmm!
I had vegetable fritters and salad and they were delicious....
Lots of Show and Tell to keep us entertained.....
This is my Hexi Quilt....
Susan has hand quilted this beautiful quilt....
Maybe she will give it to me for a house warming present...
And Susan has also just finished her "Tis the Season Quilt"....
We had 3 SKOW Favourite Things Quilts....
This is Chooky's version, she has done an amazing job....
Janice's version was also gorgeous and beautifully quilted....
Well done Janice.....
My SKOW that I love love love......
Lea showed us a gorgeous antique quilt that she purchased
from Quilt Market on a recent trip to America.....
It was amazing....Hmm maybe another house warming gift ;)
Chooky also had 3 lovely quilts that belonged to a friend....
We had a little swap and Suze looks pleased with her loot.....
Thanks girls for a great day of shopping, lunch,
friendship, chatter and lots of laughs....
I think I should make a special mention to Chooky's
sister (Little Chicken) who was a lot of fun and just a bit
cheeky and fitted in with the group really well....
Can't wait for our next get together....
I hope to see you all at GDITC in March 2013....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

hair and makeup artist, we love you Paulie xx
The Fantastic Five and with her little brother Jacky Mister.....

The boys srubbed up OK as well.....
It was such a lovely day and she was so lucky
to have special people to share it with her......
The girls look stunning.....
I am so proud of her and cannot believe just how quickly
she grew from my little girl into this lovely young lady.....

I really need to do some sewing this week!!!! LOL....

New Stockings for our mantle

I am planning on turning these into some stockings for our mantle...
Pink for Miss Molly....
Blue for Jacky Mister....
And Green for the Marmee....
I have always wanted a mantle to hang stockings from
at Christmas and the town house that we are
renting has one so I am a bit excited....
I love Christmas and am really just a big kid at heart....
The fabrics will match the Tree Skirt....
Another FREE pattern from Henry Glass Fabrics Website....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

Tree Skirt Quilted

I love getting messages from Belinda
with pics like this one included.....
Thanks again for fitting this in at short notice Belinda xo
Simple stitch in the ditch around all the blocks and borders....
Gorgeous swirls and stars in the centre.....
I have trimmed it but that's as far as it will get this weekend as
I am leaving at lunch time today to head off to Katoomba.....
I am doing the 6 Foot Track Hike from Katoomba
through to Jenolan caves this weekend....
Starting Saturday morning through to mid afternoon Monday....
46 Kilometres in total and two nights camping in the mountains...
So there will be no sewing for me this weekend but lots of
adventure and catching up with lovely Cobar ladies...
And no power or technology, just nature....
Oh and the forecast is rain!!!! Lol....
Have a great weekend Bloggers!
Until next time, Happy Stitching

Tree Skirt Flimsy

I have sewn as much of this as I can at this stage....
It has gone off to Belinda for her to quilt so then I can split
one side and cut the centre hole for the tree trunk....
I am a bit excited to see what Belinda comes up with...
It might just look too good to put presents on top of...*Grin*...
Binding and ties are all prepped and ready to be sewn on...
I am on fire...I think it might be safe to say "I'm Back" Finally!!!
I am just loving this fabric range and I was chatting to
Anni the other day and she has another Christmas range
about to be released called "12 days of Christmas"
and I promise you it will not disappoint....
It is gorgeous....
That woman will keep me poor!!!!
Now I must wait patiently for Belinda to work her magic....
Until next time, Happy Stitching
