I was lucky to have my bestie Suze visit me from Cobar
in March for a few days and while she was here we had a
night out at The Orange Regional Cooking School....
Our host Lesley Russell did not disappoint with her delicious food.....
We started with a glass of wine and potato bread with local
olive oil, fresh figs, prosciutto and parmesan....
Sorry I didn't get a pic of the starter....
Next was this salad of the season with yellow peaches, watercress,
torn buffalo mozzarella, hazelnuts and crisped shaved bacon....
This was so delicious....
The main was chargrilled lamb steaks with
shaved fennel, mashed white beans, parsley and lemon
with oven roasted potatoes on the side.....
And another glass of local wine....
Dessert was light yoghurt and semolina cake with fresh
strawberries and brown sugared sour cream....
I was in culinary heaven....
Lesley had made some oven roasted pasta sauce that was
on display and she kindly told me how to do it so
I made some myself at home the following week.....
It is so flavoursome....
This is Lesley in the overhead mirror preparing our dessert....
Best way to cook I say....
Sitting sipping on wine and watching and then eating the results....
It was a fantastic way to spent the evening with a friend....
Until next time, Happy Eating and Stitching
Kate

Looks like a great night out. Now how do you get someone to cook like that every day?
