Patchwork path for my Studio.

No sewing for me over the weekend but I did do a bit of
patch working of the bricks, rocks and concrete kind....
That counts doesn't it?
Jacky Mister helped me move these two rock clusters
around the back that I dug out of my front garden
when I was doing my Espalier.....
I was going to use them for stepping stones to my
Studio but decided on making a whole path instead
because I have an assortment of rocks lying around my
yard and some bricks leftover from my other path project....
After a bit of weeding and decision making
this is the rustic look I came up with....
It was then off to the garden centre for some
bags of cement mix and then the fun began....
This is a progress shot... I had ran out of cement mix
here and headed back down to pick up some more....
So after about 6 hours and 6 twenty kilo bags of
cement mix later this is what I ended up with....
It was just on dark so I had to pop in and turn the light on....
I am pretty happy with the result but will sweep some
dirt over the top to dull the new grey cement
colour a bit when it has dried out....
The view from my studio verandah....
My brother didn't make it down on the weekend to start the
electrical but I feel one step closer to my finished project
now that I have a rustic new Patchwork Path....
I can't wait to plant some garden around the path
and along the front of the verandah....
I can tell you all that I am feeling muscles and aches
and pains today that I would rather not be but am
so glad I put in the effort and got it finished...
This is the dessert that Jacky Mister cooked
for us when he came home from work...
While I had a long soak in the tub....
Blueberry and Raspberry Clafouti.....YUMMO!!!
So glad I made him watch
Better Homes and Gardens on Friday night...Lol!
Until next time, Happy Stitching
(Or whatever it is creative you are doing)

Nice path! Boy you are adventurous, and no wonder your poor muscles are aching. Its also a wonder your fingers didn't snap off with the cold while you were out there working.

Kate, your path looks great! A fantastic way to re-purpose your rock clusters. I reckon this little bit of creative goodness will make your heart flutter with joy on all your future comings and goings to the Studio . . .
