Cobar Trip

Miss Molly and I have just had a trip home to Cobar....
To attend a very special Baby Shower.....
My cousin Pauline is expecting her first Bub in
March and we are all so very excited....
Sunday was spent at my Bestie Suze's house for a day of
relaxing stitching and fun all spent on her back patio
 watching the beautiful rain fall.....
Here's a selfie of the girls....
Myself, Suze, Nanny Lois, Kylie, Chooky and Cazz.....
Chooky was doing what she does best....Cracking the whip
on Suze who was working on her Favourite Things Quilt
from the 2013 Stitch-a-long....
Lots of beautiful blocks being trimmed to be sewn together...
Chooky also got her Lucy Boston block stitched together
Talk about a multi tasker!
I was working on My Garden Wall Hanging that
I am turning into a cushion for my Studio Day Bed....
I literally sat and was waited on by Suze with
food, drinks and sewing machine....
It was lovely....
Cazz and Miss X helped me turn the strips
that will be the ties on the cushion back....
Here they all are turned and ready to be ironed....
I felt very spoilt....
Stitching some of the cute little hand painted
buttons on later in the afternoon...
Whilst sipping cider and snacking on some jatz
that Suze's hubby made for us...
He really is a keeper that one!
On Tuesday we said goodbye to all the family and Bob Dog
and headed home after a fantastic weekend of family, fun, rain
and stitching , oh and food....Lots of food!!
I made a stop at U2 in Trangie and picked up this cute
cushion for the chair on my Studio Verandah.....
Still in the plastic here but perfect for my chair....
Since arriving home there has been no stitching so you will have
to watch this space for the completed cushion..Almost there...
I did have some fun with my drill yesterday when I hung my
old vintage telephone on the wall....
I just love it but have been deciding on the perfect spot...
It actually works when plugged into the phone line but there
is only one plug in the house and the kids assure me
that WIFI is far more important....LOL
I also had a Plantation Shutter installed in my Lounge room
window yesterday so thought I would share that with you....
This room is a WIP because it was put on hold when
the Sewing Studio started to happen....
The walls will be painted eventually to match the rest
of the house but for the time being the
shutter has made a huge difference....
I am off to Bunnings today for some supplies to
start making the Design wall in my Studio...
A new power tool and some timber....Yay!
Happy Friday Blogland....

Until next time, Happy Stitching

Kate

You sure did have a nice time Kate. I love that phone!! So good you got it up, and a shame it isn't working. That would be a real conversation piece (pun intended LOL) if it did work.
