Cutting table

I am in Bathurst for the weekend at our annual Blog Meet...
We are staying 10 kilometres out of town at The Vale
at Perthville and will most probably be shopping at
The Home Patch when you are reading this post.....
I may possibly be buying a project to work on this afternoon
because instead of packing one of my many projects
at home the other night I got side tracked and ironed on
the laminate edging that I had purchased to tidy up
the edge of the board that is my cutting table top....
I love a bit of DIY in the evening....How about You?
After it was ironed on and trimmed up
I positioned it atop of my 2 bookcase ends.....
It is just the perfect height for me and has storage in the ends..
The man from Bunnings cut the original sheet into 4 pieces for
me, one 1200 by 1700 for the top and one 350 by 1180 to be
padded and covered with fabric to use as an ironing board,
the other 2 are 1200 by 175 to be used as shelves later....
$39 for the sheet of board and $15 for 10 metre edging strip
has resulted in a great result for my little studio....
These will be wall shelves eventually....
I have also moved my Horne sewing cabinet into the corner....
Next project will be a storage cupboard of some description and
THEN I will be able to move all of my things out there and sort
into some sort of order and THEN let the sewing begin!!!!!
Have a great weekend....
I know that I will be with a great group of Blogger Buddies....
I am sure you will hear all about it next week......

Until then, Happy Stitching

Kate

Nothing like a bit of DIY is there? You have done such a great should with your sewing studio.

Hope you all have a great weekend at the blog meet. I'll look forward to all the blog posts about it.
